2 Timothy 3:16.  “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

1 John 5:9. “If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater.”

Westminster Confession of Faith; Chapter 1, paragraph 5. “ We may be moved and induced by the testimony of the church to an high and reverent esteem of the Holy Scripture.  And the heavenliness of the matter, the efficacy of the doctrine, the majesty of the style, the consent of all the parts, the scope of the whole (which is, to give all glory to God), the full discovery it makes of the only way of man’s salvation, the many other incomparable excellencies, and the entire perfection thereof, are arguments whereby it doth abundantly evidence itself to be the Word of God: yet notwithstanding, our full persuasion and assurance of the infallible truth and divine authority thereof, is from the inward work of the Holy Spirit bearing witness by and with the Word in our hearts.”

Martin Luther (WA 48:155). “Whoever believes and holds to Christ’s Word, heaven stands open to him, hell is shut, the devil is imprisoned, sins are forgiven, and he is a child of eternal life.  That is what this book teaches you – the Holy Scripture – and no other book on earth.”

Let’s read the Bible, savor it, enjoy it, study it diligently and obey it –  all for our good and God’s Glory.
